Brass: It’s not just for shell casings anymore! This 40 S&W Golden Saber cartridge by Remington features a 165 grain brass jacketed hollow point. Its alloy jacket makes a Golden Saber bullet unusually hard, so it resists deformation and absolutely drills through barriers. Such a bullet rarely sheds more than one hundredth of its weight after having passed through wallboard or steel.

That same tough jacket also helps to postpone expansion until the bullet has shored up in a target’s vital zone. At that point, spiral serrations cut into the rim commence expansion to at least 1.5 times the bullet’s original diameter. It’s unpleasant business to be on the receiving end of a BJHP.

This self-defense load features a nickel plated brass casing. It’s low friction, and poses a drastically reduced risk of creating a jam in a semi-auto pistol. It’s also corrosion resistant, which along with its sealed mouth and primer will keep the round in good condition despite exposure to humidity. As a final touch, Remington’s low flash propellant will make sure you’re not blinded after your initial trigger pull in the dark.
