We have noticed a tiny – but measurable – preference for Fiocchi’s ammunition in the state of New Jersey. Could it be that our Italian American friends like supporting the old country’s preeminent ammo manufacturer? But even if your last name doesn’t end in a vowel, you’re certain to get great value out of this box of 40 S&W training ammunition.

This cartridge features a 170 grain FMJ truncated cone projectile. Sounds fancy, but all it means is that the bullet sports sloping sides that end in a broad, flat tip – sort of like a pine tree that got its top lopped off. The most perceptive shooters notice that an FMJTC’s streamlined profile provides ever so slightly better accuracy, but any shooter can appreciate how this round’s bullet promotes reliable feeding before making a neat and visible hole through a paper target.

This round’s nonmagnetic bullet is seated on a new production brass shell casing, which promotes cleaner ignition followed by the opportunity to handload. Fiocchi exclusively uses non-corrosive primers and modern propellant formulations to ensure a handgun will be in better condition by the end of a range day.
