This is reloaded 40 S&W ammunition, meaning its brass cases were previously fired and then brought back to life with new bullets, primers and powder. When firearm manufacturers advise avoiding reloaded ammo, they’re just covering their butts in case someone gets their hands on irresponsibly reloaded ammunition.

This cartridge is loaded with a standard weight 180 grain round nose flat point FMJ projectile. The bullet’s broad, flat tip helps it to stamp a clean hole through paper, which will in turn help you appreciate just how closely you’re grouping your shots. Note that these are plated bullets, and as such are not suitable for use in ported barrels or compensators. HSM loads these rounds’ “experienced” brass cases with non-corrosive Boxer primers and clean-burning powder.
