Independence ammunition is produced by Vista Outdoor, the same company which owns Speer and CCI. This particular 40 S&W ammo came from a factory located at 2299 Snake River Ave in Lewiston, Idaho – the same place where Speer and CCI ammo both come from!

This is not fancy 40 S&W ammo by any means. Each cartridge is outfitted with a 180 grain FMJ projectile, which achieves a 1,000 fps muzzle velocity and performs quite analogously to a more sophisticated personal defense load. The nonmagnetic bullet ought to be welcomed at all commercial ranges, and its rigid jacket promises smooth feeding in all semi-auto carbines and pistols.

Independence ammo features the same quality brass cases as Speer and CCI’s usual range loads, and they are reloadable. Non-corrosive Boxer primers and clean-burning powder tie the whole thing together. Please note that this is loose-packed ammo. Once you’ve opened the big box, there will be no packaging left to contend with!
