Corbon Powrball ammunition combines the reliable feeding of full metal jacket ammo with the deadly terminal performance of jacketed hollow points. This ammo gets its name from the polymer ball placed at the tip of the bullet. The ball enables the round to cycle well in fickle guns and momentarily delays the projectile's expansion to produce the desired high diameter "mushroom" shape. It also keeps debris from clogging the expansion cavity and interfering with the expansion process.

These .40 S&W cartridges fire a light 135 bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,325 feet per second. This high velocity produces more reliable expansion, while the lighter bullet helps keep recoil to a manageable level without sacrificing the caliber advantage of the .40 Smith & Wesson.

Corbon ammunition is loaded in South Dakota using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases. Powrball is one of their in-house designs and was invented by the company's president, Peter Pi.
