This shell’s 2-1/2” length means it isn’t particular about which revolver it’s chambered in (but you must fire a shotgun to get Rio’s advertised 1,200 fps muzzle velocity). Its half-ounce charge of #6 shot means it belches out about 113 pieces of round, hard lead when trigger = squeezed.
Most target loads are loaded with #7.5 or smaller shot. This shell’s larger #6 shot probably isn’t your best choice for competitive skeet, but it’ll make you happy if you’re just taking the fight to the plinking gallery. It’s also great if you’re practicing for an upcoming upland game hunt which you intend to employ #6 shot during. (You might just decide to use this ammo to desquirrelify a tree, which is a pursuit that it ought to prove plenty effective at.)
