The V-Crown’s jacket is indeed V-shaped, but more importantly it is surrounded by a series of evenly placed notches. Each of those skives lines up with a deep cut in the V-Crown’s stacked hollow point nose cavity. Essentially, both its core and jacket are designed to fan out uniformly as the bullet plunges into a soft medium. The V-Crown also possesses a toothed cannelure which does more than avert setback in the magazine. It keeps the jacket embedded within the core throughout penetration, which enables the V-Crown to retain the momentum it needs to enter deeply into the target.
These American-made cartridges are loaded with low-flash propellant. Its dimmer light signature will accordingly keep your eyes better adjusted to the dark if you have to open fire in it. Finally, this ammo’s nickel-plated brass cases create relatively little friction as they cycle through a semi-auto. Alongside nickel’s inherently superior corrosion resistance, that makes this ammunition extremely reliable.
