A modern bullet for a classic cartridge! The first guys to fire the 45 Colt over 150 years ago never could have imagined a projectile like Lehigh Defense’s Xtreme Defender!

This round’s bullet is super light at 135 grains. That’s because it hasn’t got any lead to weight it down. It’s 100% precision CNC machined copper, which means it’s:
• Alright for hunting wherever lead bullets are a no-go
• Unable to create lead fouling or lead smoke
• Rotationally stable in flight
Most importantly, the Xtreme Defender is substantially tougher than any lead-core, copper-jacketed hollow point. That’s why it excels at penetration, and capable of reliably piercing soft tissue to a depth of 18”.

The Xtreme Defender’s one-of-a-kind nose profile does not include a nose cavity. It can’t get jammed up with debris as it passes through a barrier, thus assuring it reaches soft tissue with its full potential for terminal performance intact. When the Xtreme Defender’s radial grooves plunge through flesh, they rapidly compress it and then shoot it outward, creating an enormous permanent wound cavity in the process.
