This cartridge’s bullet could not have existed in Holmes’ day, however. The 262 grain lead round nose, which is made in Missouri by the (fittingly named) Missouri Bullet Company, wears a thin layer of Hi-Tek. The material minimizes metal-on-friction in the barrel, and greatly reduces lead fouling as well – without producing smoke or foul residue in the process.
This Mk II ammo’s brass cases were also made in Missouri, by Starline. They can be used to handload ammo for any 455 Webley revolver (the Mk I case is longer, although the Mk II case can safely substitute for it).
• Not compatible with 45 Auto Rim revolvers
• Please confirm your revolver can handle smokeless propellant ammo before ordering
