Do you love saving money? Then you’ll love Wolf, whose ammunition is chock-full of economical steel. Save the money you would have spent on brass and copper on other things, such as firearms!
This 5.45x39 ammo has steel cases with Wolf’s proprietary PolyFormance coating. The polymer coating is engineered to facilitate smoother cycling without singeing off inside a rifle’s action. Steel cases do generally accelerate fouling of the action, however, and their relative inelasticity makes them practically impossible to handload. This new production ammo does have corrosive primers – you won’t have to treat your rifle with Ballistol after firing Wolf.
This round’s 60 grain bullet is an uncomplicated FMJ: smooth chambering, low fouling, aerodynamic and non-expanding. The bullet’s core is solid lead, but its jacket is primarily made of soft steel with a very thin exterior layer of copper. If your range prohibits magnetic bullets, then they are going to prohibit Wolf’s 5.45x39 ammo.
