This 50 BMG cartridge from Lake City is perfect for all your big rifle training needs. It is an M33 ball round, with a 660 grain full metal jacketed projectile. Note that the 50 BMG’s bullet contains a soft steel core, making it magnetic. Such a bullet is typically not considered suitable for self-defense, but the 50 BMG’s bullet is an exception. With over 12,000 ft lbs muzzle energy to deliver, you’ll be able to stand your ground against home intruders, bears, and light aircraft alike.

The Lake City Army Ammunition Plant was established in 1941, only 20 years after this round’s caliber was first introduced. As a major supplier to the U.S. Armed Forces, they produce well over one billion rounds of ammunition per year. This round’s properly annealed brass casing, non-corrosive Boxer primer, and consistently loaded charge of clean burning propellant all reflect the sprawling production facility’s rigorous standards.

This ammunition is packaged loosely in a cardboard box. If you intend to store or transport your ammo, you may wish to consider our great deal on it packaged in a new steel ammo can.
