This 50 BMG cartridge from Korean manufacturer PMC’s X-TAC Match line of ammunition features a 740 grain solid brass projectile. Whereas many 50 BMG bullets are made of a steel core with a gilding metal jacket, this round’s bullet is monolithic for improved rotational stability and weight retention downrange.

This round’s relatively heavy bullet gives it a whopping ballistic coefficient -- 0.909, which out of a 36” barrel is enough to keep it going at approximately 1,235 fps at 2,000 yards! Of course, so heavy a bullet’s energy is going to remain preposterous very far out. It won’t dip below 1,000 ft lbs until it has passed the 4,400 yard mark, making it a fantastic solution for sniping.
