Fiocchi is more of an ammo dynasty than it is an ammo manufacturer. Everyone who has been in charge of Fiocchi since 1876 has also been named Fiocchi. The family of engineers design most of the machines in their core workshop, and opened up their new production facility in Missouri in 1983. It is from there that this 6.5 Creedmoor hunting cartridge likely came from.

This round features Hornady’s 129 grain InterLock, a pointed soft point. Its a very strong bullet, with a one-piece core, cannelure, and signature InterLock ring which embeds its jacket into its core. These let the InterLock retain the weight it needs to penetrate deeply. As the InterLock digs deeper and deeper, its grooved, tapered jacket controls significant expansion, even at lower velocities. It’s simply a good way to hunt deer.

Hornady’s bullet is seated in a new brass casing, and ejected from the muzzle at 2,820 fps by a charge of clean burning propellant. It’s as much a handloading opportunity as it is a hunting solution.
