Remington’s Core-Lokt bullet will have turned 85 years old in 2024. To say that it has garnered a following over the past century would be an understatement. It is quite possible that no other soft point bullet is accountable for bagging more American game than the Core-Lokt – and now’s your chance to put that tried-and-true performance to good use in your 6.5 Creedmoor rifle!

This round sends out a 140 grain Core-Lokt – a great weight for deer and boar, and not remotely impractical for elk so long as you know what you’re doing. The ballistically efficient pointed soft point variant of the Core-Lokt lays claim to a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.410. In plainer speak, that means the PSP’s trajectory to 300 yards will top out at 6.3” – assuming your sight height is 1.5”, that is – and also that it will hold onto at least 1,000 ft lbs of kinetic energy until it streaks past 460 yards.

The Core-Lokt’s soft point design delivers quick and plenty effective terminal expansion. It’s also equipped for deep penetration thanks to its signature feature: its locked together core and jacket, which plunge into soft tissue at high velocity without shedding excessive weight and momentum. New brass cases that are absolutely suitable for handloading back at HQ!
