A: Hi Jardel! Case is made of steel. Core is made of lead. Jacket is bimetal: primarily steel, with a thin copper-washed exterior.

A: Thanks for reaching out Malek! This cartridge's bullet's solid lead core does not contain steel. The bullet has what is known as a "bi-metal jacket," which is primarily made of steel with a thin copper-washed exterior. I don't believe you will ever find 7.62x39 ammunition with steel-core bullets. Steel cores are most often found inside 5.56x45 M855 bullets, as well as 50 BMG bullets.

A: Sorry sir. Lucky Gunner is no longer able to ship ammunition to California, not even to FFL dealers or Licensed Ammunition Vendors in the state.

A: No sir, it's not corrosive! You'd safely assume no ammo on our site is corrosive unless we make a big deal out of it. Here's an example of corrosive ammo we currently have for sale: https://www.luckygunner.com/7-62x54r-148-grain-fmj-sellier-bellot-military-surplus-1989-production-800-rounds-in-hermetically-sealed-case-corrosive
