Hold on there a second, old top! Before you order this 7.62x54r ammo, make sure it’s not actually 7.62x39 or 7.62x51 you’re after. All those 7.62s can make things confusing!

Your Mosin-Nagant – it hungers! For 7.62x54r, no less! That’s a sorry state of affairs, but it’s one you can fix right quick if you order a whole case of MAXXTech Essential Steel. This ammunition is made for MAXXTech by the Ulyanovsk Cartridge Works, so it’s just as Russian as your rifle itself!

Ulyanovsk Cartridge Works is up to all their usual tricks with this ammo. Steel cases are just about as useless as dog thumbs at the reloading press thanks to their inability to go back to their original dimensions after ignition. But if you don’t handload, then you’ll only appreciate how much more affordable ammo becomes when it doesn’t have brass cases (even if steel cases do deposit more fouling in the action). This ammo’s 148 grain full metal jacket projectiles also sport bi-metal jackets. They are about 99% steel, and they’re 100% certain to attract a magnet.

This ammo is Berdan-primed, but it was produced recently. That’s why it’s noncorrosive!
