A Mosin-Nagant makes a marvelous range toy. But what if you decided to hunt with your Mosin? You certainly wouldn’t want to use the ball ammo you normally employ for roughing up range targets – no sir. You would want 7.62x54R loaded with bullets that are capable of terminal expansion!

And lo and behold, that’s precisely what we’re offering you right here. Prvi Partizan of Serbia loads this nonmagnetic ammo with 150 grain soft point boat tail projectiles. The SPBT isn’t exactly technologically sophisticated, but its exposed lead tip does reliably force the bullet to mushroom so it can dig out a wide would column.

The SPBT’s tapered base helps it conserve more velocity so it can fly flatter and hit more forcefully. Prvi Partizan recorded this round’s 2,838 fps muzzle velocity with a 28.5” test barrel. Under that condition, the bullet exhibits a 0.192 G7 ballistic coefficient and retains over 1,000 ft lbs of energy until it arrives at the 520-yard line.

Prvi Partizan does not load steel cases or Berdan primers. These brass-cased Boxer-primed beauties are just as noncorrosive as they are handloader-friendly.
