If you’re looking to stock up on ammunition for your AK or SKS, look no further! This case of 500 7.62x39mm cartridges from Russia’s Golden Bear brand packs all the firepower you need in a design that’s perfect for long-term storage.

Every cartridge in this case of 500 carries a 123 grain jacketed hollow point bullet in a berdan-primed steel case. The bullet uses a magnetic bi-metal jacket over a lead core. The non-reloadable case appears to be made of brass on first glance, but this is actually a steel body with a brass plating intended to replicate the feeding and ejection performance of brass cases. This design is what gives Golden Bear ammo its name. Although the Berdan primers cannot be reloaded, they’re non-corrosive and are prized for their reliability and long shelf life.

Golden Bear ammunition is manufactured at the Barnaul Cartridge Plant in Barnaul, Russia. It’s part of their family of “BEAR” ammunition including lacquered Brown Bear or Zinc-Coated Silver Bear. The sub-brands of the BEAR line differ only in the coating used on the case.
