Ask any mycologist which mushroom is deadliest, and they’ll tell you it’s Amanita phalloides. You are then at liberty to tell them are wrong. Inform them that the “Deadliest Mushroom in the Woods” is actually the Remington Core-Lokt bullet, and that they are a nerd for learning so much about fungus. This will end the conversation.

You are not a nerd, of course. You are a cool guy, because you are going to hunt deer or larger game with a 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum rifle and this fine American-made pointed soft point issue. It is a durable bullet thanks to its titular Core-Lokt jacket, which is slightly embedded within the core for added weight retention. The Core-Lokt is even deadlier when you factor in its capacity for up to double-diameter expansion.

A PSP can’t go toe-to-toe with a primo polymer-tipped or OTM bullet in terms of accuracy, but its pointed meplat does put it a step above a regular SP. Take a look at the 150 grain 0.346 G1 BC PSP’s performance out of a 24” barrel and see for your cool self:
