You are not a nerd, of course. You are a cool guy, because you are going to hunt deer or larger game with a 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum rifle and this fine American-made pointed soft point issue. It is a durable bullet thanks to its titular Core-Lokt jacket, which is slightly embedded within the core for added weight retention. The Core-Lokt is even deadlier when you factor in its capacity for up to double-diameter expansion.
A PSP can’t go toe-to-toe with a primo polymer-tipped or OTM bullet in terms of accuracy, but its pointed meplat does put it a step above a regular SP. Take a look at the 150 grain 0.346 G1 BC PSP’s performance out of a 24” barrel and see for your cool self:
