This round’s 235 grain monolithic bullet is highly accurate: a testament to the balanced and aerodynamic nature of a precision machined piece of copper, as well as Fort Scott’s finely honed loading practices. The TUI really gets interesting once it strikes its target, at which instant it (A) begins penetrating very deeply by avoiding fragmentation or otherwise shedding weight, and (B) tumbles around and around – just like its name promises – which has the effect of inflicting a truly disastrous wound channel within the threat/quarry.
The manufacturer fine-tuned this cartridge for a 12” barrel, which is the same length as the test barrel they used to record its 1,600 fps muzzle velocity.
