The answer to the first question, you will not be surprised to learn, is steel. This ammo’s nonreloadable steel cases are way more economical than brass ones, and cheaper than CCI’s aluminum cases as well. Most shooters note “dirtier” performance after polishing off a few boxes of steel-cased ammunition. That’s because steel doesn’t expand to seal off the chamber like brass does, and therefore permits more propellant residue into the action.
Its cases aren’t the only steel in this ammo. The FMJ also attracts a magnet, as its jacket is made of – you guessed it – steel. (There’s a little copper wash on there to make it look nicer.)
There’s no risk of firearm corrosion upon firing this ammo. Its primers don’t contain the chemicals that attract water following ignition.
Oh, right! The other question. We actually have no idea how to pronounce “ç” or “ş,” but we’re sure it’s very interesting. We’re similarly ignorant when it comes to pronouncing “ı.”
