This cartridge promotes a healthier shooting environment with the help of its 115 grain total metal jacket projectile. Whereas the FMJ’s jacket does not actually cover the base of the bullet, the TMJ’s jacket covers the bullet completely. This makes it impossible for ripping hot propellant gasses to access the lead in the bullet’s core, so you can avoid breathing in a significant amount of vaporized heavy metal. A TMJ also tends to enhance accuracy as it prevents the bullet’s sleek profile from deforming in any way.

Just one word of caution: TMJ bullets are no good for ported barrels or compensators. A port can carve off a portion of the TMJ’s jacket and deflect it back at the shooter to cause injury!
