PMC loads this ammunition so good guys can enjoy good target practice. This is a heavy load, with a 147 grain bullet that only accelerates to 975 fps before departing from a 4” barrel. That is 150 fps lower than the speed of sound, which ensures a quieter report even if the firearm isn’t equipped with a suppressor.
PMC does not load pistol bullets that contain steel. These cartridges’ full metal jacket round nose projectiles will not attract a magnet, which licenses you to fire away at all indoor ranges. The FMJ will not deliver terminal expansion. That’s not to suggest it can’t be deadly, although a jacketed hollow point (JHP) is unquestionably the better bullet for personal protection.
PMC is a South Korean firm; the same outfit that produces ammo for the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. Their high-grade raw materials and finely honed engineering ensure that each cartridge receives a standardized bullet, reliable (noncorrosive) Boxer primer, and strong, straight and reloadable brass case.
