The XTP jacketed hollow point’s primary feature is its copper-alloy jacket. Because it is drawn instead of plated, it grows progressively thinner the closer it gets to the rim of the nose cavity. Alongside the symmetrical notches surrounding its rim, the XTP’s tapered jacket enables it to initiate expansion following lower-velocity collision with the threat. The XTP’s jacketed rim resists becoming damaged during feeding, which helps to preserve its aerodynamic profile. It also features a rotationally stable swaged lead core and fully jacketed base – both features which further enhance accuracy.
This subsonic ammo (optimal for a suppressor) is decked out with premium nickel-plated brass cases. Their shiny, reflective exteriors make the rounds easier to spy in the chamber, and also protect them against gradual corrosion. Nickel-plated cases additionally minimize friction to promote more reliable cycling in magazine-fed firearms.
