Sometimes the bullet that doesn’t expand at all is good for personal protection – if it’s the ARX, that is.

This 9mm +P self-defense cartridge by NovX features the 65 grain ARX. It’s so lightweight because it is made of an inflexible copper/polymer matrix, yet its 1,655 fps muzzle velocity still grants it a far greater muzzle energy than any conventional 9mm round’s.

Without a nose cavity to potentially trip up feeding or clog with fabric and other debris, the ARX consistently penetrates its target very deeply. As it does so, the radial flutes designed into its profile engage with soft tissues, ejecting them laterally at up to double the speed with which the ARX is traveling. The resultant wound cavity is designed to be large – equal to or greater than what an expanding hollow point could have delivered.

American manufacturer NovX utilizes a high-tech NAS3 stainless steel shell casing, with a primer pocket made of nickel-plated aircraft-grade aluminum.
