Federal's Hydra-Shok JHP ammo is an excellent ammunition trusted by law enforcement agencies and carry-permit holders alike. This round features Federal's Hydra-Shok jacketed hollow points which utilize a unique center-post design that delivers controlled expansion. The notched jacket provides efficient energy transfer to penetrate barriers while retaining stopping power. The deep penetration of this jacketed bullet satisfies even the FBI's stringent testing requirements making this an ideal round for self-defense!
This product is brand new, nickel plated brass-cased, boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable.
This is top of the line, American-made defense ammo made by ATK (same company that makes Speer Lawman, CCI, Blazer Brass, etc)
- it doesn't get any better.

WAY UNDER-POWERED for a 10mm. Nothing more than a weak 40 S&W round. There are many 40 S&W that have more power than this round. DO NOT BUY!Quality Performance Value
(Posted on 4/7/13) - Weak for a 40 much less a 10mm Review by Johnny

This stuff doesn't deserve the 10mm name. You can get hotter rounds 40sw. I don't understand what federal is thinking. The reason the 10mm has survived has to do mainly with people who like the power of the cartridge for hunting or people who want greater power than the 357 mag in a normal sized pistol. The ballistics of this round are not very good. Nothing close to what I would expect from a 10mm self defense round. 1030 fps and 425 ft-lbs at the muzzle. I wish I would have had that information before I ordered. I now have some really expensive range ammo. (Posted on 2/13/13)Quality Performance Value
