Details

Federal's 223 Rem 50 gr Polymer Tipped is specially designed for hunting varmints such as prairie dogs and gophers at long ranges. The boat tail design at the base of the projectile yields an ultra flat trajectory helping you "reach out" a little bit further increasing your abilities.

This ammo is also great for general target practice, plinking, and tactical exercises out of your AR-15. Federal American Eagle ammo has long been considered one of the most reliable ammunition manufacturers not only in the country but in the World. It's just an added bonus that it happens to be made in the good ol' USA.

This ammo is brass-cased, boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable. This ammo undergoes a 100% visual inspection after loading and it has been tested to temperature extremes ranging from -40 degrees to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, this load features a water resistant anaerobic primer sealant to help prevent moisture intrusion.

Travis Merritt ( Fri, 22 Jun 2012 04:23:11 +0000 ) : So far the best ammo I have ever used our of my rifle..10mm groupings at 100m...makes a mess of the old fox..Love the fact it shoots better out of my rifle then ammo twice as expensive..
Travis Merritt ( Fri, 22 Jun 2012 23:10:02 +0000 ) : great product..just hope it remains here in australia..have been told it was a one off run for australia..should be ok for a while..bought a 1000 rounds.
Ryan Palmer ( Tue, 11 Sep 2012 03:14:26 +0000 ) : For the fact that the ammo is so cheap and it groups so well, I wouldn't use anything else, and I'm using a bolt action, awesome round in my rifle A+++. groups less then 10mm at 100m.
Scott Hunt ( Tue, 30 Apr 2013 02:19:49 +0000 ) : I get the best groups from this ammo always under 1in groups with a 24in 1x8 barrel at 100 yards. better than more expensive ammo. Iam so glad its back!
Gary Haggard ( Fri, 25 Oct 2013 16:18:28 +0000 ) : Simply stated . It is a outstanding round. Shot thru my Mini 14 3 to 4 in groups were not uncommon at 100yds. In my 700 Rem several one hole shots achieved @ 100 yards! 1 in groups were no problem. I will continue to buy all I can get of this ammo. A far cheaper alternative than some of the other big name brands and it was impressive in either rifle.
Jim Clarke ( Thu, 10 Jul 2014 16:40:16 +0000 ) : Tack driving bliss...Critters beware.
Jim Clarke ( Thu, 10 Jul 2014 16:45:51 +0000 ) : 1 eliptical hole .39" at 100yds

Consistently shot 1-1.5 MOA groups at 100 yards with RR coyote rifle off the bench on a breezy day. Cases are a little tarnished. No misfeeds/fires. (Posted on 11/10/13)

I stumbled onto this ammo for my CZ 527 carbine in .223 Rem. I've heard others say that this was a cheaper brand and not to expect much in terms of consistency. But so far, after 100 or so rounds of target practice, I've been very pleased. When my rest is secure I have routinely shot one inch, to sub-one inch groups at 100 yards. In fact, for the first time ever, I put four rounds down range at 100 and had them all land in the same 3/8ths inch hole. It hasn't done that every time, but I've never repeated that with any other higher quality ammo. I can't comment on the hunting aspects of the round, as that part has not been tested, but I suspect it will do fine with small to mid-size game. (Posted on 8/23/12)
