Tula ammunition derives its name from its birthplace, the Tula Cartridge Works in Tula, Russia. This same plant also produces many of the products branded in the United States as "Wolf Ammunition".
The Tula Cartridge Works plant was founded in 1880 and is currently one of the largest ammunition manufacturing plants in the world. The Tula name has gained a following worldwide for its rugged, reliable, and economical product. This cartridge complies with CIP requirements and the casing features a polymer-coated steel casing with a non-corrosive Boxer Primer. The projectile features a bimetal jacket (contains steel and copper) and a lead core resulting in excellent ballistics characteristics.
This ammunition is rugged like the country where it was manufactured and keeps its qualities under temperatures ranging from -4 degrees Fahrenheit to 122 degrees Fahrenheit ensuring that it will perform when needed most.

Not bad for target shooting. Out of the 500 rounds I had 3 failed casings that jammed in the chamber of my AR-15. Not a problem if you bring a cleaning rod and a hammer with you out to the range. I was able to make some hits on a dummy head at 310 yards. But I would not rely on these bullets to save your life. I am going to stick with brass from now on. At least the ammo was cheap but like I said, you get what you pay for. But I have to say, LuckyGunner is still one of my favorite places to buy ammo! Great service! I don't know what it is about this ammo but I have a piston AR and this stuff fails to extract or I get dud primers. I have even had this stuff stovepipe on me. I've fired it through my SKS and even then I have the same issues. We all know that a SKS is a workhorse and you can pretty much beat the hell out of that rifle and it will fire true every time. Not with this stuff. It's super dirty too. I know for the price you get what you pay for and I don't expect to make a Pinto into a Ferrari. Lucky was fast on shipping like always and fair on price. It's not their fault this ammo is garbage. Spend a little bit more if you want to save yourself on a headache. To each his own though. Just my experience. I have tried all different calibers of Wolf and Tula ammo and never had any issues other than it being a little dirty to shoot. I have shot around 400 rounds of this .223 tula ammo and never had a issue with my DPMS AR-15 although it is converted to a Gas piston setup I have friends using stock gas system AR's and love this stuff. Great ammo for the price and as always LG ships this stuff super fast and is packed great. Also really good fast communication thanks again Heidi. I picked up some of this ammo because I found my military stuff was jamming a lot. This Ammo is cheap, heavy (at 62 gr), and feeds well. No jams. I did however have one failed extraction which has never, ever happened before. I do not know if this will be a future problem with this ammo or not). Only more rounds will tell. And I now carry my cleaning rod with me to the site. (Posted on 10/24/11)Performance Value Quality
