With an all-copper bullet design, there is no chance of jacket/core separation that can occur in traditional jacketed bullets with a lead core. As a result, this bullet upon impact provides maximum tissue and bone destruction to provide a quick, humane kill. The nose of this bullet upon entry into tissue immediately peels back into four sharp-edged copper petals.
This ammunition is also ideally suited for self-defense as it's as good as it gets!
Barnes ammunition is manufactured in Mona, Utah and is one of the pre-eminent bullet manufacturers that has just recently entered the loaded ammunition business!

- excellent bullet design, excellent performance Review by Noah Baudie
Performance Value Quality
I haven't done any ballistic gelatin tests, but others have--it's easy enough to find videos of them on Youtube--and it looks like an outstanding performer, suited for both hunting and self-defense, in the videos I've seen. The solid copper hollowpoint bullet expands very well regardless of intervening barriers like clothing, and penetration is very good--maybe towards the end of being a little bit much if you're one of those people who is very concerned about excessive penetration. It looks like it destroys a lot of tissue and may be one of the better .357 Magnum self-defense or hunting loads out there. (Posted on 3/27/15)
