Winchester's Ranger jacketed hollow point ammunition is powerful and affordable. This load has a 165 grain bonded JHP bullet, and can reach muzzle velocities of 1,140 feet per second. The bullet is bonded, which means that the lead core is bonded to the copper jacket. This helps the round retain almost all of its original weight, which optimizes the stopping power of the round. The higher muzzle velocity associated with this lighter 165 grain bullet helps it to achieve complete expansion in soft tissue, making this an extremely effect defensive round.
This ammo uses reloadable nickel-plated brass cases and non corrosive Boxer primers.
