These revolutionary defense rounds from PolyCase are perfect to load up into your favorite .45 ACP pistol for both carry and home defense purposes. Unlike conventional hollow point ammunition, these rounds create wound channels and deliver threat-dropping energy via a bullet that creates a turbine effect in the target.

PolyCase is a Georgia-based company with over 60 years of experience in plastics molding and polymer manufacturing. As a veteran and shooter owned company, PolyCase's focus is to introduce all new materials and manufacturing techniques to the ammunition industry. Their Ruger ARX line uses projectiles made from a mixture of copper and polymer that uses less water and produces less waste metal than any other current ammo production process. The Ruger branded line is loaded slightly hotter than PolyCase's Inceptor line.

ARX bullets have twisted flutes which work with any direction of barrel twist and deliver energy laterally while spinning in a target. Most of this energy is expended, creating wide wound cavities, within the first six inches of entry, putting this ammunition at low risk for over-penetration and subsequent collateral damage. Aside from the flutes, the bullets retain the shape of a traditional FMJ round which helps defeat intermediate barriers without deflection or fragmentation.

While the Ruger ARX line from PolyCase features a brand new bullet design and materials, the rest of the cartridge uses traditional reloadable brass casings and non-corrosive Boxer primers. These 114 grain rounds exit the muzzle at 1,350 feet per second while carrying 461 foot-pounds of force. 114 grains is light for the .45 ACP caliber but allows the rounds to fly faster with a flatter trajectory.
