PMC ammunition is manufactured in South Korea by the Poongsan Corporation (ISO certified) which produces cartridges ranging from small arms ammunition to large howitzer rounds for the S. Korean military. The Poongsan Corporation dates back to 1968 and since its founding it has grown to become on one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of ammunition. The Poongsan Corporation's primary mission is to make South Korea fully self-reliant for their ammunition needs. Taking advantage of their high standards required through the military's reliance on their ammunition, their excess capacity is highly sought after throughout the world's commercial markets. In the United States, their reliable range ammo has become a standard for excellence and consistency.
In addition loading cartridges, PMC also manufactures all of their own components from raw materials. This complete control over the supply chain allows for PMC to control the quality of each component providing for greater consistency than ammunition loaders that source their materials from a variety of suppliers.
This precision manufactured ammunition is brass-cased, boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable.
Video Transcript:
PMC stands for Precision Made Cartridges, a branch of the South Korean Poongsan Munitions. They've been around since the 1960s. And they currently produce almost all the ammunition used by the South Korean military, everything from small arms all the way up to eight inch howitzer shells.
Under the PMC banner, they make a wide variety of pistol, rifle, and shotgun ammo for civilians all over the world. PMC makes handgun ammo for a few different applications. And the load we used for this review was PMC Bronze in 9mm.
This is their line of value priced target and range ammo. It has a 115 grain lead core full metal jacket bullet, a reloadable brass case, and a non-corrosive primer. Despite the name, there's no actual bronze medal used in the ammo. It's all the normal lead, brass, and copper that you're used to shooting.
To find out how PMC performed on the range, we shot a couple of boxes using six different handguns. There were no feeding problems or ignition issues. And every round we fired functioned just as expected.
Recoil was moderate for a 9mm, making this is a good load for long practice sessions or for use in short barrelled guns. We used a Beretta carbine to test accuracy from the bench at 20 yards. Even with a fairly rapid rate of fire, it was no problem to get a really tight group with just a couple of fliers.
Low cost brass cased ammo is tough to come by these days. And in that category, PMC might be one of the best-kept secrets in the industry. It performs right on pace with any of the more established manufacturers and is an excellent choice for practice and training on the range.

Bought 500 Rounds of this, fired about 300 70 + jammed and 1 misfired. Ejected the spent casing, but does not seem to have enough kick to fully chamber the next round. Same guns work fine with federal or Winchester. (Posted on 5/21/13)Quality Performance Value - pmc 9mm smith&wesson m&p Review by luckyshotter

With in five hours of my online order I had a tracking number. The next day I had my PMC Bronze 9mm ammo at my door. In over ten years of purchasing things online this has NEVER happened. For the most part I have been sold on Lucky Gunner to supply my ammunition needs, from now on. The PMC Bronze 115 grain FMJ works well in my Master Piece Arms 9300 SST carbine. The 16" barrel boosts the fps to about 1,300 FPS. Smokes a little bit but that really is not a problem. Feeds well and is doing 2" to 4" groups out at 40 yards. Great prices and light fast service. Can't go wrong. Stock up while you still can folks. (Posted on 11/2/12)Performance Value Quality - Good value Review by alfadog

I ordered 2K rounds for a 3 day Costa Ludus class. Kind of ironic we had to induce malfunctions so we could practice malfunction clearance techniques; the ammo ran 100% consistently.Performance Value Quality
Accuracy left a bit to be desired, as my groups really opened up as we pushed back to 25 and 50 yards. When I got home I shot from a rest and could only manage 2-4" groups at 10 yards, and 6-8" at 25 yards.. This is from a Glock equipped with a match grade barrel & RMR electronic sight; I've had other ammo that grouped inside 2" at 25 yards.
This ammo is very acceptable for training purposes as long as you're not looking for ultimate precision accuracy. (Posted on 9/7/12) - Works for me Review by MT

I've been using this brand in various calibers for a few years now, and it's always consistent, and and to be honest I've only had one misfire, and it was from a .223. Other than that, I have no complaints, solid clean brass and even able to reload if you are into doing that as well. Not one miss fire in 1000 rounds (Posted on 7/26/12)Performance Value Quality - my CZ75 doesn't like it Review by Fwank

Pros: accurate, inexpensive, brass is good for reloadingPerformance Value Quality
Cons: dirty, very underloaded, doesn't bump the slide back quite forcefully enough for positive function in my gun
I have a CZ75 that digests everything else without a problem, even aluminum case and steel case ammo. PMC 115gr ball gives me consistent and repeatable problems that appear to be related to its being loaded to only about 1050 f.p.s. I get smokestack, doublefeed, and failure-to-feed malfunctions with this ammo, and no other. It also ejects the brass straight back and hits me in the face with the empties. It doesn't do this with any other ammo I've ever shot in it. Yes, I run an extra-power 15 pound recoil spring and a 25% extra-power extractor spring. No, it still doesn't happen with any other ammo. No, my other 9mm handguns don't do it either with this ammo.
It's also pretty dirty, but I don't care very much about that. It's very accurate, too--I've gotten sub 2" groups with it at 10 yards, standing offhand, rapid fire, just messing around. I wish PMC would bump up the powder charges about 10%, that'd fix the worst of the problems with it. If your gun runs with it, it's good enough for what it's for.
