PMC stands for Precision Made Cartridges, a branch of the South Korean Poongsan Munitions. They've been around since the 1960s. And they currently produce almost all the ammunition used by the South Korean military, everything from small arms all the way up to eight inch howitzer shells.
Under the PMC banner, they make a wide variety of pistol, rifle, and shotgun ammo for civilians all over the world. PMC makes handgun ammo for a few different applications. And the load we used for this review was PMC Bronze in 9mm.
This is their line of value priced target and range ammo. It has a 115 grain lead core full metal jacket bullet, a reloadable brass case, and a non-corrosive primer. Despite the name, there's no actual bronze medal used in the ammo. It's all the normal lead, brass, and copper that you're used to shooting.
To find out how PMC performed on the range, we shot a couple of boxes using six different handguns. There were no feeding problems or ignition issues. And every round we fired functioned just as expected.
Recoil was moderate for a 9mm, making this is a good load for long practice sessions or for use in short barrelled guns. We used a Beretta carbine to test accuracy from the bench at 20 yards. Even with a fairly rapid rate of fire, it was no problem to get a really tight group with just a couple of fliers.
Low cost brass cased ammo is tough to come by these days. And in that category, PMC might be one of the best-kept secrets in the industry. It performs right on pace with any of the more established manufacturers and is an excellent choice for practice and training on the range.

Great 9mm Ammo!
I've run a few thousand PMC 9mm 115gr FMJ rounds through my VP9 with no issues whatsoever. And Lucky Gunner beats the price for this ammo at my local range by a mile. Highly recommended for everyday range use! Shipping speed is a huge plus as well!!
Hey Tim, thank you for the review! Good luck out there and happy shooting!
Outstanding Ammo for All of my Handguns (Glock 17/ 43, HK VP9 and VP9SK, Springfield XD, MP Shield, etc.)
Have used PMC 115gr for my training for two years and have not got any issues. Reasonable price and great quality. Highly Recommended.
Good Range Ammo, But....
In my Glock 43, every round worked great, however in my Glock 26, repeated jams and 50% shell ejections made me question the quality of what I bought. I bought a different brand for the 26 and that worked flawlessly.
Just burned through 1000 rounds in my sig P226 9mm legion without a misfire at all. Very consistent grouping and super clean. Absolutely perfect for the range so I just ordered another 2000 rounds. Well worth the money
I have already taken to the range and fired in two of my weapons. Fired flawless. My only regret is not able to double my order at this time. Great buy. Don't miss out. Awesome. Thanks for the deal and the notification. K
Have fired 350 rounds through my Bersa and am very pleased. A fairly clean firing bullet that makes maintenance very easy. Will be buying more in the future. These bullets are used for practice only. I was very happy at how quickly the order was delivered.
My SCCY PX2 eats this ammo up. Zero malfunctions after hundreds of rounds. This ammo is no "Dirtier" than any other. Just do the usual after range cleaning. I will definitely reorder this ammo....my #1 choice.
I used PMC when I first started shooting and even if I shot 100 rounds the gun would be filthy. I clean my guns every time I go to the range and their ammo.Is on of the dirtiest I have used and for the prices I don't see the value.
Perfect 9mm Ammo
I've purchased many cases of PMC 9mm and 45 ammo and I've never had a problem. That's +- 8000 rounds and ZERO issues. If it's on sale even better. If it's not it's well worth a few extra bucks.
Lucky Gunner is the best online dealer for any ammo for both price and service.
Shot thousands of rounds of PMC ammo. Mainly 9mm, but other calibers as well. Never a misfire or bad round thus far. All ammo is too expensive these days, but when it is on sale here on LG, I will continue to use PMC for all my range work.
HIGH FOR WHAT U GET.
I LIKE TO LOOK AROUND AND BUY THE BEST PRICED BULLETS I CAN FIND. AT THE TIME THIS WAS THE BEST PRICE. YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN SOMEBODY WILL HAVE A GOOD FAIR PRICE SALE ON 9MM. FOR THAT MATTER ANY CAL. BULLETS, SO YOU GOT TO GET WHAT U CAN WHILE THEY GOT IT BECAUSE TOMORROW IT MAY BE GONE. WHAT DO U DO. I HAD RATHER PAY A LITTLE EXTRA AND HAVE THEM. AS FAR AS SERVICE AND FAST SHIPPING THEY ARE GREAT. LUCKY GUNNER IS A TOP OF THE LINE STORE. I ALWAYS LOOK HERE FIRST WHEN I WANT SOMETHING. GOOD PEOPLE TO DO BUSINESS WITH. THAT IS WHAT I LIKE ABOUT LUCKY GUNNER.
PMC Great ammo for the range, Thanks Lucky Gunner
Angela fired 600 rounds with Glocks, Beretta and HK no malfunctions, I bought PMC Before from LUCKY GUNNER, 380 and 223 never malfunctions, great products and prices, super fast shipping as always, highly recomended, I just ordered another 1000 rounds.
Great 1000 rounds no issues
Great rounds for the range, so far shot 1000 rounds with no issues. The Tul ammo also shoots fine but i can place better grouping with this ammo from a Ruger lc9s. Always fast shipping and a good price from lucky gunner. Thank you
PMC is my "go to" round
This is my go-to target round for all my 9mm pistols. Shoots flawlessly in Berretta, Glock and Ruger guns. Price is reasonable and the service from Lucky Gunner is second to none. I also use the PMC JHP rounds in my daily carry. Never a misfire, just ordered my 3rd 1000 rounds. Highly recommended.
Fast shipping,good price
I found PMC 9mm 115gr FMJ on sale here and had to get 1000rds. I have ordered other products from Lucky Gunner before with very fast shipping and great products. Unfortunately i have not yet had a chance to fire off any rounds but my Sig 2022 loves this stuff! I will definitely be stocking up for the winter though. Have referred Lucky Gunner to many friends. Thanks again.
This ammo came highly recommended by the shop where I purchased my M & P Shield. These rounds are consistent and clean-firing. After more than 1500 rounds, I've had only three jams and those were on ejection. My only complaint is that they're not made in America.
Great and accurate shorter range ammo
I tested this out of two 9mm's, an XDM 5.25" and a Springfield 1911 Loaded. At 10 yards this ammo shot and grouped quite well (i.e. nice 10 shot clusters). At 25 yards there was quite a bit of shot dispersion (too much dispersion for it to be an effective match ammo at 25 yards IMO although o.k. for putting hits on a full size silhouette type target). At the price point, this an excellent ammo for shorter range shooting and practicing. For practice drills and shooting at 5, 7 and 10 yards this ammo is a great value product. No feeding issues ever nor were there ever any other malfunctions with it.
Exellent service good price good people.
This is a very clean burning powder. I unfortunatly burned up about 200 rounds as was required in qualification. I had not a hiccup or burp. My browning HP thinks this stuff is chocolate. No F.T.F.s no stovepipes, no problems. Will buy again.
Great ammo , unbelievably fast shipping .
This was my first order from Lucky Gunner , and I must say I was impressed . I wasn't even expecting it for at least 3 to 4 days , then lo and behold , the brown truck of happiness pulled up the next day after I had ordered on line . Price was good , PMC is some of the best money can buy . what's not to love ? As the Terminator said " I'll be back " .
Excellent for practice
Use this for the vast majority of practice shooting, reliable with no misfires or issues after several hundred rounds put through various 9mm semi autos. Great value and quality allows me to train friends effectively on shooting technique without having to focus on troubleshooting (feel a bit safer practicing that with dummy rounds). Highly recommended!
Excellent price and Customer service!
First off excellent prices. Second I had an issue with aome things and the customer service lady Janet was amazing at getting the issue resolved with me. They took the time to work with me and get the issue resovled. In a time when customer service is garbage this websites service is excellent. THANK YOU. You have a customer fo
Very pleased with everything Lucky Gunner does. I have recommended your site to others shooters. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to more purchases in the very near future. Thanks again for a job well done.
Good Ammo and Fast Shipping
I waited awhile for the price of ammo to drop even though I was running low. When price was low enough, I comparison shopped and chose Lucky Gunner. I already knew the ammo was good. Shipment was delivered promptly. The price was the lowest I could find. All was good.
Shot through about 500 between an Xd9 service, Ruger P89, and G17 gen 3 with only one feed failure in the glock. Overall great practice rounds at a decent price. Very happy I found this site. Would recommend and will buy again.
What Does You Weapon Eat? Ask it! Some Are Picky ; )
Ok, My Glock 17 and 19 chows down on this stuff just fine. Double taps are fine. Rapid fire is fine. Real world drills mainly reserved for the pros, the Glock still chows down this stuff. Piece of cake. Now, let's talk about a cheap price. I got the case of 1000 rounds for a screaming deal! WOW an awesome deal! Y'all please remember I am talking about Glocks using this stuff with rapid fire and double taps. Other guns will be different. I know I have tested many with this ammo.
This 9mm - 115 gr FMJ by PMC is great ammo. Great price and great performance, I have shot several hundreds round of it without a single failure, I have used in six different 9mm pistols. Highly recommended.
PMC Good ammo...... Still somewhat affordable
I have purchased many rounds from LG. They are never the problem. In fact, there's no better place to get your ammo online. Period. Since they do sell several different brands of ammo, some of it is not of the absolute highest match grade quality. I guess there are many of us who actually like to practice. PMC will however work well in a quality gun. Some of the few complaints I've seen about any PMC ammo was clearly the gun owners poor choice of weaponry or how the gun was setup with heavier springs etc. LG also does their own testing with these and several other brands of ammo they sell. If you check out their vids you will find they are more than willing to tell us about any problems they encounter (if there are any) with any of their products. That's called integrity.
LG is about as fair as it gets in today's ammo prices. Although all ammo prices are higher than we would like to see them, I've pretty much checked out all practice grade 9mm (as well as other calibers) pricing out there in big box stores and various gun shops. After time, tax, and fuel expenses, all roads lead back to LG.
These rounds jam in ruger sr9 and walther ppx. My wife and son both have ruger sr 9, wife's a compact and sons a standard. I have a walther ppx and they also jam. At least 1 round per clip. I also have a beretta and hk usp and they shoot fine in them. They apparently aren't made for finicky pistols but suitable for others. Clean ammo though.
Great Range Ammo
Ordered 1000 rounds for my PPQ M2, and have fired 600 so far without any FTFs or FTEs. Very consistent...could've put a bucket down and had all the brass go into it. Good value for the money, and plan on ordering again.
As always, LG shipped promptly and is a great source of cheap, quality ammunition. Keep up the good work!
PMC 9 mm 115 grain is very reliable and consistent. I highly recommend it!
I am an IDPA competitor and I regularly compete in matches. PMC 9 mm 115 grain ammo is what I use at every match and it has never let me down. While other competitors try to save money on cheaper ammo or reload their own, I have seen them pay for it with stovepipes and malfunctions. Never once have I experienced any problems with PMC. The quality and reliability are consistent round after round. I unequivocally recommend it!
Excellent Service and Value
My time is valuable, going to a store to deal with limits on purchases wastes my time. I was amazed when I ordered Friday afternoon and the product was shipped that evening and I received it in a few days. Even the best deals at the store aren't such good deals when you factor in time, gas and limits on purchases.
Good ammo, great price
I am a big fan of PMC. Would shoot exclusively if an option. Feeds great in all of my springfields, and the 5.56 is great with my AR. Have had bad experiences with other ammo, specifically maverick ammunition sold to me as BVAC. Resulted in a destroyed lower receiver and busted up hand! Won't shoot reloads or reman after that. Luckygunner had good prices and fast affordable shipping. Will be purchasing more again soon! Word to the wise: spend the extra on new ammo, and stay away from Russian! The price you save is not worth the trouble in the end
Great Company Great Prices Great People!
*** I have shot over 80,000 of these pmc 115,s 9mm. I have six various 9,s they all love these rounds and they have plenty of power along with Accuracy. Not One bad round yet! Try That...Mr. Dan. Thanks Heidi***
PMC Bronze Ammo
I purchased 1,000 of these a good while back. I have had a chance to fire this PMC ammo in my two different 9X19 mm weapons. My CZ 75 P07 and a Masterpiece Arms 9300 SST carbine. Both firearms took no exception to the 115 gr round and cycled without one problem.(every time) I also have reloaded a couple hundred of those brass case's. More of the same. If you reload don't think twice about a purchase. Great stuff in my book.
PMC 9mm ammo
I have been using PMC for a long time, and i find it to be totally reliable. I never have performance issues with it. I am a return customer of Lucky Gunner, for a few reasons. The Service and price is awesome. Delivery is quick and there are never any issues with my orders. Especially being in NY which is land of the ridiculous gun laws. Lucky Gunner. Keep up the good work. See you on my next purchase. :-)
Good, reliable ammo
I have used this ammo before, and have fired over half of the 1000 rounds I bought from this last purchase. I have yet to encounter a fail to feed or fail to fire in my Glock 34. I have used it in IDPA matches. It costs a little more than the cheap Russian brands, but it's cleaner and more reliable.
Always a good product.
I've purchased several thousand rounds of various calibers from you over the years and always get the best service and exactly what I ordered. Never had a problem, I plan on using your site many more times in the future.
Excellent practice/range round
The Ammunition - Ran around 400 rounds through my HK VP9 with zero malfunctions. Decently accurate but burns a little dirty; however, at this price per round with shipping, you can't really complain. It cleaned up easily enough with a bore-snake and a little solvent. I would definitely keep these rounds around for the range.
Lucky Gunner - Excellent, quick customer service with getting my NJ FID credentials on file. Fast shipping and delivery time. Overall, very pleased with my first LG experience and will be a return customer.
worth every penny
I'm now working on my 2nd order of a 1000 rounds, no complaints here. I had zero miss fires in the first 1000 so far no problems in the 2nd set either. Fired out my Sig p226 enhanced elite model, Sig P250 compact, S&W shield, glock 17, full size Springfield XD, and my maverick (early hi-point). Well worth the cost for the reliability and the accuracy.
Good range ammo but...
Ordered 1000 rounds and have shot 200 so far. Sig M11-A1 (1 FTE) out of 100 rounds), Glock 19 G4 (0 failures out of 100 rounds.) Note the 50 round boxes are mid sized - not the largest nor smallest (S&B as an example has a really nice packaging size for storage constrained folks.)
Lucky Gunner service is second to none and FedEx shipping w/o having to pre-sign for the delivery is a huge plus at a reasonable rate.
Best 9mm FMJ I have had!
PMC ammo is some of the best ammo at discount price I have ever experienced! This stuff feeds reliably in every 9mm gun I have ever used! It is not over pressure unlike some discount ammo I have encountered, and the quality is top notch!
Rely on PMC
I have been using PMC ammunition for range practice in 9mm, 40S&W and 45 ACP for many years now. Always seems to be a reasonable price, consistent quality and function, and after 100's or rounds, never a FTF or FTE.
9mm - 115 gr FMJ - PMC - 1000 Rounds
Great ammo - no misfires, no jams - performs well in my Beretta 92FS and Glock 19. Excellent value. Outstanding service. I recommend Lucky Gunner to all my friends who are shooters, pointing out the live inventory system and great prices.
Best 9mm all-purpose on the market
I have run over 1,000 rounds of PMC through my Glock 19, S&W 6906 and my Kel-Tec Sub2000 and I have yet to encounter a mis-feed or eject jam. My local range insists on brass only which eliminates the Ruskie cheap steel stuff. As a U.S. Navy rated "Expert" pistol and rifle marksman i can vouch for this ammo as the 'best bang for the buck'. IMHO
great for the range
this is very reliable ammo, and have never had any issues after having shot close to 1000 rounds of it in my Glock, Sig and Tauras. Also, great service and prompt shipping from a great company - Lucky Gunner.
I'm new to the shooting community, both the web site and ammo were recommended by a friend. I'm happy with both. The site is easy to navigate with honest reviews and so far I haven't had any problems with the ammo. It arrived in good condition when promised. And priced way better than what I paid at the range. I'll order more in future.
PMC ammunition runs well in my XDM's, Beretta's, bursa, FNH, and Smith & Wesson's M and P's. The powder burns clean and I can consistently fire half-inch patterns at 25 yards. Unlike some ammunition I've purchased recently, the PMC rounds are shipped in strong boxes and are clean. I recommend this product.
Quality Ammo Value priced
I've used several calibers of PMC ammo and found them all to be good products. Accuracy is good, occasional flyers but not often enough to be troublesome. After all, I'm not using them for match shooting.
Great target ammo
With the price of all ammo, particularly 9mm, having gone through the stratosphere due to the government purchases, it was good to find some good target ammo at a price that is only a few dollars above where it used to be. I never have issues with PMC Bronze firing everything from my WWII Walther to Berretta 92FS and Nano.
Excellent shopping experience.
This was a very nice shopping experience. Fast delivery. Very high quality product. This is my ammo of choice from now own. Unlike my previous ammo I have not experienced any misfires or jamming.
I have shot over 2000 rounds from PMC through my Sig P226, and they are very consistent...little to no misfires.
Good ammo and I have used several different manufacturers, I have found PMC to be very reliable. I have confidence that the ammo will fire as expected. Ammo of choice.
This pmc 9mm ammuntion I purchase from you guys is great. Never a problem and it is very clean to shoot. Over 20,000 rounds and it keeps on working without any problems. Not only does your ammunition ROCK but so does the company.
I haven't bought in bulk yet, but many, many individual 50 count boxes as I have been able to find over the last several months of the shortage. Now that bulk is available again I'll be purchasing for some extended training and some prudent prepping for the next shortage. I have never had a FTE or FTF with PMC 9's. Not SD ammo, but that is not the point. Great way to get in reps without breaking the bank.
Was available where no one else had the quantity
Ordered and delivered very quickly. Ordered by phone and got a lot of good info and exceptional service. Went on web site 2 days later and found it to be cheaper. Upon calling again they gave me a coupon for future use. Great customer service
Not very good
Bought 500 Rounds of this, fired about 300 70 + jammed and 1 misfired. Ejected the spent casing, but does not seem to have enough kick to fully chamber the next round. Same guns work fine with federal or Winchester.
pmc 9mm smith&wesson m&p
I bought about 10 boxes of these when they were available, what can I say they shot flawless and that night I put 200 rds through my 9mm m&p. Their were no jams or no misfires and a buddy next to me had a 45 and they also shot flawless. When I went to clean and oil their was hardely and sult in the gun.
I've gone through over 1k rnds of this ammo with no issues whatsoever in my 92a1 and m&p9c. I also use PMC .45 in my 1911 and m&p45, flawless there as well. Would definitely recommend to others for range use.
Great product service and price
I am totally pleased with this product they are clean accurate and the price is right I used 800 rounds so far in my beretta 92fs and had no jams , miss fires or problems .
Lucky Gunner is where I have referred all my shooting buddies and all 17 of them plus me, are happy with this product , website and prices .
With in five hours of my online order I had a tracking number. The next day I had my PMC Bronze 9mm ammo at my door. In over ten years of purchasing things online this has NEVER happened. For the most part I have been sold on Lucky Gunner to supply my ammunition needs, from now on. The PMC Bronze 115 grain FMJ works well in my Master Piece Arms 9300 SST carbine. The 16" barrel boosts the fps to about 1,300 FPS. Smokes a little bit but that really is not a problem. Feeds well and is doing 2" to 4" groups out at 40 yards. Great prices and light fast service. Can't go wrong. Stock up while you still can folks.
Reliable, very good quality & excellent value
I ordered 2K rounds for a 3 day Costa Ludus class. Kind of ironic we had to induce malfunctions so we could practice malfunction clearance techniques; the ammo ran 100% consistently.
Accuracy left a bit to be desired, as my groups really opened up as we pushed back to 25 and 50 yards. When I got home I shot from a rest and could only manage 2-4" groups at 10 yards, and 6-8" at 25 yards.. This is from a Glock equipped with a match grade barrel & RMR electronic sight; I've had other ammo that grouped inside 2" at 25 yards.
This ammo is very acceptable for training purposes as long as you're not looking for ultimate precision accuracy.
Good all around ammo
I've been using this brand in various calibers for a few years now, and it's always consistent, and and to be honest I've only had one misfire, and it was from a .223. Other than that, I have no complaints, solid clean brass and even able to reload if you are into doing that as well.
Good ammo Great supplier
Shot 200 rounds through my new Kimber Aegis not a single problem. Flawless in the Barretta as well. LuckyGunner is the best good prices fast shipping. No hassle. I am impressed. Can't ask for more. Just placed another order.
my CZ75 doesn't like it
Pros: accurate, inexpensive, brass is good for reloading
Cons: dirty, very underloaded, doesn't bump the slide back quite forcefully enough for positive function in my gun
I have a CZ75 that digests everything else without a problem, even aluminum case and steel case ammo. PMC 115gr ball gives me consistent and repeatable problems that appear to be related to its being loaded to only about 1050 f.p.s. I get smokestack, doublefeed, and failure-to-feed malfunctions with this ammo, and no other. It also ejects the brass straight back and hits me in the face with the empties. It doesn't do this with any other ammo I've ever shot in it. Yes, I run an extra-power 15 pound recoil spring and a 25% extra-power extractor spring. No, it still doesn't happen with any other ammo. No, my other 9mm handguns don't do it either with this ammo.
It's also pretty dirty, but I don't care very much about that. It's very accurate, too--I've gotten sub 2" groups with it at 10 yards, standing offhand, rapid fire, just messing around. I wish PMC would bump up the powder charges about 10%, that'd fix the worst of the problems with it. If your gun runs with it, it's good enough for what it's for.
Good all the way around
