Lawman is attractively priced, and the cases are reloadable with clean-burning propellants and reliable CCI primers to complete the package.
Video Transcript:
Lawman ammo from Speer is some of the only off-the-shelf ammo that's specifically designed for self-defense training. It's loaded a little hotter, so it's made to resemble the felt recoil from Speer's Gold Dot defensive ammo. The bullet also features Speer's total metal jacket, so there's no exposed lead anywhere on the bullet, which makes it great for practicing in indoor ranges that might not have great ventilation.
We tested the 9mm Lawman ammo with a 115-grain bullet. Just like advertised, it's a slightly hotter load than most 9mm range ammo. You can definitely feel that in the recoil, especially when doing any kind of rapid fire drills where muzzle control is really important. I personally really like the Gold Dot defensive ammo that Lawman is designed to mimic, but even if you carry some other kind of hollow-point, it's most likely going to have slightly harsher recoil impulse than your range ammo. For that reason, Lawman makes a good stand-in for any defensive ammo, not just Gold Dot.
As you would expect with any high-quality CCI or Speer ammo, Lawman ran great through all of our test guns with no problems. Accuracy was also very good, and we got some nice three-shot groups from a bench at 15 yards. I have no problem recommending Speer Lawman for any serious range or training applications.

I have shot just over 1000 rounds of the 115gr Lawman through my Glock 19 with ZERO MALFUNCTIONS! It burns clean and feels more powerful than other brands, although it's not labeled as a +P. I brought 150 rounds with me to the indoor range at which I shoot and after I had my fun, I still wanted to keep shooting, so I bought some stuff they had at the range, PMC Bronze in 115 gr. Let me tell you the difference is like night and day! I barely thought I was shooting a 9mm due to the weak recoil of the PMC. Also, it was dirty as heck. Huge smoke clouds gathered 'round my pistol after each shot. It was so dirty that the muzzle of my gun turned gray from all the powder. I never had any problems like that from the Speer Lawman. And from now on, I'll make sure to bring an extra box with me to the range. (Posted on 4/29/12)Performance Value Quality - Excellent product Review by OneWhoSucceeds

First off, fast shipping! I stumbled upon Speer from a local gun dealer where I live, and mentioned about Speer ammo, he highly recommended it. So I gave it a shot to try it out, and wow, was I happy. Shot 500 rounds already, not one single problem. Recently ordered 1000 rounds. So will def. be ordering more in the future. LuckyGunner.com will be the only PLACE where I buy my ammos!!! (Posted on 4/18/12)Performance Value Quality - Accurate, feeds well Review by volpack4@gmail.com

This is really good range mpractice ammo. it is made by Speer so you can switch to their comparable SD rounds and get the same 'fee.' it has a total metal jacket covering the entire bullet and eliminating lead powder from the back of the bullet for less breathing of lead and less fouling of your gun (and lungs). It has been 100% reliable for me through hundreds of rounds.Performance Value Quality

Speer makes quality ammo. After 600+ rounds through my px4 subcompact I've still had no problems. Always fires, always ejects. On occasion I do get a micro sized brass ring in my chamber but its minute at best. one in a hundred or so. It could be my gun though. (Posted on 9/4/11)Performance Value Quality
