Excellent ammo for home defence and range. Reliable. Consistent. Powerful. Clean. Worth the cost. Shot from a 30 ounce solid steel revolver with rubber grips : recoil was not a problem. [2 " inch barrel]. If I lived closer to the shipping point (live in Oregon ; ammo shipped from Atlanta, GA) I would buy more. Ground shippers between Atlanta and southern Oregon are brutal on ammo. But, ammo wrapped with care, sent quickly, Lucky Gunner is excellent company. Trust them.

This ammo is on the list of ammo recommended by S&W. After breaking-in a new S&W Shield Plus 22 Mag auto pistol, two clips of the 40 grain Speer Gold Dot performed without a single jam or misfire. Wife will use this ammo and the S&W Shield Plus as an EDC. The S&W 22 Mag Shield Plus is a real pleasure to shoot due to the (relatively) extremely low recoil.

Gold Dot ammo has worked perfectly in my 9mm & 45acp, but they tend to get stuck in the chamber of my Bodyguard 2.0 if I attempt to rack out an unfired round. The chamber on that gun might be on the large end of the range, so I will not attempt to fire any until I get a chance to test them in my Ruger, which seems to eat anything.

Feels the same power wise and hits same point of aim as my +P hollow pionts.
Shooting older box of these I noticed some primer cratering. I bought some new stock and they show the same in two different handguns. I contacted Speer, they don't seem concerned, neither am I.
