Video Transcript:
The Italian ammo company Fiocchi has been in the same family since 1872. And today they make ammo for civilians, law enforcement, and military forces all over the world.
Fiocchi Ammo has also been approved for use by NATO forces, and their civilian ammo comes from the same production lines as the military products. Almost every aspect of their manufacturing process is directly controlled by Fiocchi.
They make a lot of their own loading machines, and all the components of their ammo are produced in-house. Even the lead used in their projectiles comes from Fiocchi's own lead recycling business. Though they're based in Italy, much of Fiocchi's handgun ammo is actually produced in the US. Headstamps on the shell casings will either read Fiocchi USA, or GFL, which are initials for the company's founder and the town where Fiocchi's Italian factory is located.
However, the headstamp does not necessarily indicate where the ammo was make. The 9mm we shot for this test was made in the US but bears the GFL headstamp.
The 124-grain bullets are in normal lead-core full-metal jacket in a reloadable brass case with a non-corrosive primer. Recoil was moderate and soft enough for long practice sessions, but hot enough to reliably cycle all six of our test guns with no ignition or feeding failures.
We performed a quick accuracy test from the bench at 15 yards with a Glock 19. Our 10-shot group was slightly better than average for other nine-millimeter practice ammo that we've tested.
Fiocchi in 9mm is great practice ammo and has a solid international reputation to back it up.
