- Definitely not for the Tofu Crowd Review by Gunrunner

This is one bad ___ed round! I have been shooting this round for nearly 40 years and it still stacks up to the newer stuff. The last time I fired these rounds at the indoor range, I had a small audience wanting to know just what in the heck I was firing. Definitely intimidated the 9mm & 40 SW crowd. While I recently "converted" to the 10 MM, this round is still my "go to" load for open carry in the woods. Can't say enough good things about it. Back in the day--say, 1974--the guys at Remington decided to take the 125gr JHP bullet they'd designed for the .38 Special and see how fast they could push it from a .357. Which turned out to be 1400+ f.p.s. from a 4" revolver, sometimes faster--some lots of this ammo have been chronographed at 1600+ out of a 4" revolver. Yes, the primers come out pretty flat when it's that hot.Quality Performance Value
This round has always had a very heavy rep as a manstopper, maybe in part because back in the 70s it was the only handgun ammo out there with expanding bullets that'd actually expand in soft tissue. Has a reputation for destroying a LOT of soft tissue and inflicting wounds grievous out of all proportion to its paper ballistics. Even in the 21st Century it appears to be one of the better handgun loads out there for defensive use. From a lever-action rifle often breaks 2100 f.p.s. and is a fair close-range whitetail deer load.
One of my favorite .357 loads, and hard to get right now. Also has a rep for cracking the frames of early S&W K-frame .357s after several thousand rounds, so if you have something that small, you might only want to shoot these in emergencies, and if your .357 revolver was made in Spain or South America, or is otherwise of uncertain metallurgy let your conscience be your guide. L-frames, N-frames, or a GP100? No problem, hot ammo like this is what they're made for. (Posted on 6/17/11) - excellent product fast delivery Review by Donald

I am very satisfied with the product. Delivery was fast and the quality is excellent. I was able to find ammo here that I could not find anywhere else. I will be buying from here again and will recommend this website to others. Product as described. Shipped quickly. Arrived on front porch via UPS without Fedex signature games. Not the cheapest, but not over priced either. I recommend Luckygunner.com , and will buy here again. (Posted on 4/9/10)Quality Performance Value
