Al Bruder ( Tue, 23 Apr 2013 19:55:46 +0000 ) : would the.357 sig round suit the.357 Mag pistol?
Heidi At Lucky Gunner ( Tue, 23 Apr 2013 20:25:04 +0000 ) : Hey Al, No - I would definitely not shoot the .357 Sig in a .357 Magnum. The .357 Sig is for semi-automatic pistols only - while the .357 Mag is traditionally used in revolvers. Thanks for checking in and hope that info helps. If not, just let us know and we'll be happy to try to answer anything else!
Eric Stevenson ( Sun, 06 Oct 2013 14:46:39 +0000 ) : Al, the case measurements are completely different. .357 Magnum = .379 .357 Sig = .424 Also, the rim on .357 Sig is the same diameter as the case because it's meant to index off the shoulder. If a .357 Sig fit into the chamber of a revolver it would slide right on through.

Q: Is this a magnum round?

Posted On: 1/29/13 By: Bill

A: The 357 Sig round was originally designed to meet the performance of the 357 Magnum revolver cartridge. The dimensions of this round are based on the .40 S&W round. This round will safely fire in any 357 Sig pistol in good working condition. While not formally classified as a magnum round, this could be considered as such for being based off of the 357 Magnum round.

I bought these JHP along with FMJ from another manufacturer. Was very pleased with the results. As a self-defense round this Remington .357 SIG JHP is more than sufficient and compared well to the FMJ. Excellent shot groupings with the Remington .357 SIG from at distances from 5, 10 & 15 yards were all in softball size circle (a referenced size everyone is can compare to). I plan to but more ~ (Posted on 10/27/13)

.357 Sig is hard to find, but here it is. I had no problems with feeding and no misfires. At the time I purchased this I couldn't find any .357 Sig anywhere for less. (Posted on 10/6/13)
