This cartridge’s FTX isn’t like most .40 caliber bullets. It has a pointed nose profile instead of a flat one, because its nose cavity seats a Flex Tip. It’s made of softer polymer than usual, which allows it to safely rest against the abutting round’s primer inside the magazine. It also streamlines the FTX, thus enabling it to conserve more momentum and hold flatter trajectory right up until – THWAP – impact.
And the FTX doesn’t stop there. It uses its InterLock ring to prevent its one-piece lead core and thick copper jacket from prying apart and fragmenting. The supple Flex Tip also fills in and pressurizes the nose cavity evenly, thus commencing energetic expansion that kills tout de suite.
