Buffalo Bore manufactures these Factory New loads to help 10mm enthusiasts get the most from their favorite caliber. These "Heavy" cartridges are also called "Full Power" loads but are guaranteed to only operate within standard pressures for safe cycling in standard handguns like the Glock 20 and Colt Delta Elite. As heavy loads, these rounds utilize 200-grain FMJ projectiles with flat noses that ensure proper fit within semi-automatic magazines. Each bullet is crimped into a reloadable brass casing which is equipped with a non-corrosive Boxer primer and clean burning powder.

Buffalo Bore modifies with their powder with a low-flash additive so that the muzzle flash from big bore shooting won't ruin your sight picture or night vision. The manufacturer suggests that this ammunition is run through guns with recoil springs that are stiffer than the stock spring should the shooter find an extreme spread in muzzle velocity.

Ballistics Test Summary

In order to find out how different self-defense handgun loads perform, we have conducted ballistic gelatin tests for over 200 different handgun loads in a variety of popular calibers. The chart below is a compilation of expansion and penetration data for Buffalo Bore 10mm 200 gr FMJ-FN fired from 10 feet through four layers of fabric (to simulate clothing), using a Glock 20 with a 4.6-inch barrel.

The photo slider provides a close-up view of the bullets we recovered from the gelatin, and the video shows this load entering the gel in extreme slow motion.
