Notice how Sellier & Bellot doesn’t print a picture of a cute little tabby cat on this shell’s hull. They chose instead to mark it with a tiger: the world’s largest and most powerful cat, and a much more fitting symbol for a magnum 12 Gauge double-aught load.

Fifteen pieces of 00 buckshot. Can’t fit that in a puny 2-3/4” hull – not without forfeiting the powder this shell uses to lob its 1-7/8 ounce payload around 90 fps faster than sonic speed. That’s a 4 dram equivalent: not the highest power rating a 12 Gauge shell can have, but indicative of purely destructive force at close range nevertheless.

Counted all together, this shell’s 15-pellet barrage shares approximately the same muzzle energy as a 30-06 Springfield. Whether you recruit so much power for defense or for hunting, you can trust Sellier & Bellot’s Old World (specifically Czechian) craftsmanship to deliver as needed.

Finally had the opportunity to fire some of these off and am not disappointed. These were purchased for use in a pump-shotgun, so I have no experience with them in a semi-automatic. My son suggested these to me when he found out what I'd been paying per box for Remington 3" 00 Magnums - and, the Remington shells came 5 to a box. I couldn't pass up on the price. And, since these were being used in a firearm that has shot everything I'd ever cycled through it, I didn't feel any apprehension in making the purchase. As always, LuckyGunner has been a great resource in finding ammo.

You know that you fired a magnum alright. best part is in a M887 you still can load 7 in the tube, and watch old microwaves disasemble themselfs. this is no joke of a shell. not for the faint of heart or sholder.

never buy this for a winchester, it jams so bad you can barely get it out the chamber. I wish I could get my money back, so I fobbed 'em off on someone I owed money to.
