I have been running this ammunition through my 1500 Smith & Wesson . It has a very good groping at 50 yards all the way out to 250 yards. I’m moving it further out every time I go to the range.

I went to the 100 yard outdoor range with several boxes of this ammo and some PPU 182 grain Match 7.62x54R. I shot a series of 5-round groups with this S&B load using my 1933 Tula M91/30 with original iron sights.
I was very impressed with this ammo, it is not kidding around. First off, it’s got the authority (and recoil!) of real deal heavy ball 7.62x54R.
Secondly, it is accurate. At 100 yards, I was getting 2-3” groups with a 90+ year old surplus Soviet rifle with iron sights.
No issues with extraction or the infamous sticky Mosin bolt; even as I burned through ammo boxes and the rifle got warmer and warmer. I was so happy with the consistency and accuracy. I ended up just shooting the S&B 180gr. loads and didn’t even open up the PPU 182gr. match ammo.
This stuff burns clean, hits hard and is consistent and accurate enough for some range time with an ancient museum piece rifle.
The brass looks good on top of that and its range friendly (lead core, not steel core like lots of surplus 7.62x54R is) as yet another bonus.
There’s something incredibly satisfying about shooting “heavy ball” (M30) 7.62x54R out of a 29” Mosin barrel, this ammo will give you that feeling…plus a sore shoulder.
Good stuff, highly recommended.

First Lucky Gunner always fulfills orders quickly and at a relatively great price- Thank you Lucky Gunner! That said, I recently purchased 5 boxes of this ammo and have thus far used 2 boxes. Of that first 100 rounds, I have had 2 primers fail and 5 rounds on which apparently the concussion of the prior shots (5.5" Uberti 1873 Cattleman) caused the round to unseat from the brass, making the round too long for the cylinder to rotate into battery (and meaning that on an older design, you basically need to disassemble the firearm to remove the failed round). That is a 7% failure rate. On factory ammo such as this, a tolerable failure rate should be 0.1% or less. I would go further into its inconsistent groupings, but truly that is irrelevant with such a failure rate. While I will certainly be ordering other ammo from Lucky Gunner, I would definitely not buy this product again.

If you’ll look at the ballistics of this ammunition, you’ll see that the muzzle energy is higher than more expensive ammunition. This stuff burns very clean and feeds through all my 9 mm guns with no issues.

Jumps crimp

Jumps crimp consistently, i.e., 2 - 3 out of 5 rounds in my S&W model 60 snubbie, and thereby jams the cylinder. The model 60 is all stainless -not an aluminum frame. Disappointing to say the least -as I am otherwise very positive about Sellier and Benot ammunition. My opinion is a that a basic .38 round like this should either work in a common snub nose .38, or display a prominent disclaimer that it is only appropriate for larger revolvers. I will use up the rest in my 686 and Winchester 92, but I'm still very disappointed.

Feeding issues with a suppressed Sig Sauer MCX Rattler LT.

I have shot S&B ammo in multiple firearms without any issue and thought that this subsonic round would be no different. However, in my application of a suppressed (CGS Hyperion) Sig Sauer MCX Rattler LT we ran into feeding issues and had to chamber each consecutive round. Maybe its the combination of my rifle/suppressor but thought that this might be helpful for the next guy with the same or very similar set up, as I'm sitting on 500 rounds now.
