You gotta have a cold, cold heart if you don’t agree that Aguila Minishell ammo is totally adorable. But this 1-3/4” 12 Gauge shotshell isn’t just a cutie pie. It’s an excellent choice for target practice if you’re doing all you can to minimize felt recoil.
A Minishell’s low-recoil performance isn’t rocket science. Between its lightweight 5/8 ounce payload of #7.5 lead shot and normal 1,200 fps muzzle velocity, the 2-1/4 dram equivalent shell simply hasn’t got the power to generate stout recoil.
This ammo also greatly increases a shotgun’s magazine capacity. If your pump-action shotgun’s tube fits six 2-3/4” shells, then it will naturally fit ten 1-3/4” shells. Take a look at our YouTube demonstration if you’d like to see for yourself!
This shell should chamber in all 12 Gauge shotguns just fine. Word to the wise, though: it is guaranteed not to cycle a semi-automatic, and a pump may need an adapter before it is capable of cycling Minishells. Ask your shotgun’s manufacturer if you need some clarity on that point!
