When we were a kid, we used to wonder why medieval villages were full of colorful birds. It wasn’t until we were a little too old that we discovered “pheasants” and “peasants” are two very different things.

This 12 Gauge shotshell by Federal is perfect for quelling pheasant uprisings. It’s loaded with 1 1/4 ounces of #5 lead shot, 0.12” pellets that are able to reliably penetrate dense vegetation and coarse feathers before anchoring a pheasant or other upland game bird for good. Federal’s hard shot keeps its form under pressure, and their one-piece wad spreads that shot close together so it can pack a serious wallop several dozen yards downrange.

We say this ammunition isn’t magnetic solely to differentiate it from steel shot loads that you’d want to use for hunting waterfowl. Its plastic hull’s head is in fact made of steel, yet it’s brass-plated to go easy on your shotgun’s extractor. This shell further offers premium fast and clean burning propellant, as well as a non-corrosive primer to keep the rust out of your scattergun.
