Oh, how we would love to visit Italy. First we would have a traditional Italian meal – stuffed crust pizza with unlimited soup and salad. Then we would visit ancient Rome to see real live gladiators. And finally we would take a tour of Fiocchi’s headquarters.

But you don’t need to go to all the way to Italy to enjoy Fiocchi’s ammo. This 12 Gauge shotshell is made right in America, and it’s a fine selection for hunting a variety of the upland game running around here. It’s loaded with #5 lead shot, which is especially favored for pheasant, turkey, and other similarly sized critters. At 3” long this shell is able to store a heavy shot column – 1-3/4 ounces, or 298 pellets. So thick a cluster of shot becomes even deadlier when it’s accelerated to a turbo 1,330 fps muzzle velocity!

This shell’s shot is chilled lead. It contains less antimony than magnum lead, and as such has a tendency to deform as it plummets into soft tissue. That issues wider wound channels, making this shell’s effect on small game all the deadlier.

Fiocchi houses such fine and fast shot in a high quality hull, complete with clean-burning powder and a non-corrosive primer. Their wad is designed to both improve pattern density and mitigate recoil, although so powerful a shell is definitely going to let you know when you fire it.
