This 12 gauge deer load from Brenneke combines the mass of traditional slugs with the accuracy of a saboted slug, firing a broad 1-1/8 oz. (492 grains) alloy projectile that delivers mushrooming far beyond what other saboted projectiles can achieve. Designed for use in rifled barrels only, these shells produce a muzzle velocity of 1,526 feet per second and have an effective range beyond 100 yards. Great for targets of various sizes from coyote to moose.

Sabot slugs are bullet-shaped projectiles smaller in diameter than the barrel of the shotgun that fires them. They are wrapped in a plastic outer jacket, or sabot, that protects the slug and allows it to benefit from a rifled barrel. The Brenneke Super Sabot is notable for being considerably larger and more powerful than the average slug, which weighs about 250-400 grains.

Brenneke USA was founded in 1995 and produces shotgun shells using slugs made in Germany by the parent Brenneke company, which dates back to the late 19th century. Brenneke focuses exclusively on slugs and this is reflected in the quality of their lineup.
