This is a high velocity round -- 1,235 fps muzzle velocity, enough to rough up the sound barrier and keep a flatter trajectory downrange. It gets some of that speed from its bullet, which is a couple grains lighter than normal. The lead round nose is about as simple as a bullet gets, just a aerodynamic chunk of lead that knocks cans over and drops red squirrels out of branches.
Blazer is better known for their centerfire ammo. But as a brand of CCI, a rimfire specialist, they also have the experts and technology it takes to make a trustworthy 22.
