For these .22 LR rounds, components include 40-grain lead round nose (LRN) bullets crimped into freshly rolled brass casings. Each case contains a consistent measure of clean-burning powder which is igniting by a non-corrosive priming mixture. The 40-grain weight is common to .22 Long Rifle loads and specifically matched to the ballistics of Federal 730, Field Pack rounds; these are copper-plated hollow-point loads intended for hunting. This compatibility allows shooters to switch between the loads with minimal deviation in feeding, performance, and sight or scope zero. Each of these cases comes packaged in ten boxes which carry 275 rounds apiece.
