This cartridge’s bullet isn’t just a copper-plated round nose. It is a black CPRN, which is different than the smooth-feeding, low-fouling projectile to which you’re already well accustomed because it looks neater.
The real selling point is that subsonic muzzle velocity – ensured by a heavyweight 45 grain projectile, but by no means indicative of difficulty cycling semi-automatics. You want a subsonic MV if you’ve got a suppressor, but it still dampens report even if you aren’t a member of the suppressor club.
We estimate 0.188 G1 BC, which represents the following performance when the bullet hits its advertised MV:
0yds: 1,090 fps | 119 ft lbs | -1.5”
20yds: 1,060 fps | 112 ft lbs | -0.1”
40yds: 1,033 fps | 107 ft lbs | 0.0”
60yds: 1,009 fps | 102 ft lbs | -1.2”
80yds: 987 fps | 97 ft lbs | -3.7”
100yds: 967 fps | 93 ft lbs | -7.7”
