Actually, we don’t want to think about that. We’d much rather talk about Patriot Sports 223 Rem ammunition. Granted, it’s made in a different country (the Czech Republic, where it is manufactured by STV Technology s.r.o.), but it is absolutely perfect for doing the most American thing it’s possible to do: shootin’ that there AR-15.
STV didn’t set out to rewrite the book on 223 Rem when they loaded these cartridges. Each one has a 55 grain full metal jacket – standard M193 style – which generates chamber pressure of around 50,750 psi on ignition (for reference, SAAMI max pressure is 55,000 psi, which simply means this ain’t “hot” ammo). The manufacturer promises sub-2.75” groups at 100 yards, which fully qualifies as “not too shabby.”
Do you like nonmagnetic FMJs? Do you like brand new and reloadable brass cases? Howzabout Boxer primers that cannot cause corrosion? If you answered with three yeses, then you’ll truly approve of what this box of ammo contains.
